Bookmaker William Hill is keen to recreate it with virtual reality technology.

The UK's Gambling Commission said that it would be keeping an eye on innovations such as virtual truth to make sure that they did not encourage excessive gaming.

"Currently you put a bet and very little takes place between that and the outcome," said Crispin Nieboer, William Hill's director of development.

The innovation is not yet offered to the general public however was on program at an open day at the company's innovation laboratory in Shoreditch.
